College and university students from across Rhode Island will showcase their summer research work Friday, July 29, 2016, when they gather for the 9th Annual Rhode Island Summer Undergraduate Research Fellows (SURF) Conference — the state’s largest presentation of undergraduate research.
The University of Rhode Island, Kingston, RI, hosts the event, which begins at 8 a.m. with a continental breakfast and poster set-up. Welcoming remarks take place at 9 a.m. followed by the poster session at 9:30 a.m. Lunch for those who register will begin at 12:30 p.m.
Exhibitor space for potential employers, graduate schools, core facilities, and other programs is available. The deadline to register and submit abstracts is 4:30 p.m., Friday, July 14, 2016.
