Volunteers Needed for the 20th Annual Quahog Bowl
We are seeking volunteers for the 2017 Quahog Bowl — the Connecticut-Rhode Island regional competition of the National Ocean Sciences Bowl (NOSB)! The NOSB is an academic competition and program that addresses a national gap in environmental and earth sciences in public education by introducing high school students to and engaging them in ocean science, preparing them for ocean science-related and other STEM careers, and helping them become knowledgeable citizens and environmental stewards.
It does not matter if you are a veteran of the competition or new to the event — we have a variety of roles to be filled.
Click here http://nosb.org/community/volunteers/competition-officials/ to learn more about the volunteer officials.
A volunteer training session will be held on the URI GSO campus in January 2017.
